The objective of this research is to evaluate the resilience of buildings to seismic hazards using two methods: Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) and the response spectrum method. The RVS method is employed to visually assess the seismic response of buildings, referencing the guidelines of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), while the response spectrum method adheres to the SNI 03-1726-2019 standard. This study focuses on the final score values from the RVS method and various parameters such as period, base shear force, inter-story displacement, story drift, and the coefficient of variation in the response spectrum method. The research findings indicate that the RVS method yields a safe score on Form 1 (S > 2) but experiences a decrease in vulnerability on Form 2 (S=1). Meanwhile, the response spectrum method reveals a building period of 1.809 seconds, seismic base shear forces of 812.096 kg for the X-direction and 840.275 kg for the Y-direction. The maximum inter-story displacement occurs in the X-direction at 0.007501 and the Y-direction at 0.006431, with a coefficient of variation reaching 90.7% for the X-direction and 91.5% for the Y-direction. Inter story drift limit for X-direction 0.0135-0.047 and Y-Direction 0.0129-0.0292. These values are still below the specified limit of 0.08

Sudarno P Tampubolon Copyright (c) 2023 MIJR: Multidisciplinary International Journal of Research https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/47 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) Method on the Effectiveness of Construction Building Management Execution https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/50
This research aims to quantitatively analyze the effect of the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) on the effectiveness of building implementation management in the construction industry. BIM has become a significant method in the construction industry with the potential to enhance collaboration, coordination, and management of information in the execution of building projects. Quantitative research methods were used in this study by collecting data through the research method uses linear regression analysis with data from construction professional respondents. The results showed that the implementation of BIM had a significant and positive influence on the effectiveness of building construction implementation management, indicated by a t value of 12.217. The coefficient of determination (R square) of 0.749 or 74.9% indicates that 74.9% of the variation in the effectiveness of building construction management can be explained by BIM implementation. These findings confirm the importance of using BIM to improve management effectiveness in building construction in the construction industry. The implications of this research provide a basis for encouraging the adoption of BIM as an effective tool in construction project management.

Keywords—Building Information Modelling (BIM); Effectiveness; Implementation; Effectiveness; Building Construction Projects
Candra Christianti Purnomo Copyright (c) 2023 MIJR: Multidisciplinary International Journal of Research https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/50 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Optimized Hybrid Deep Learning for Cost Estimation of Construction Projects Considering the Time-Dependent Characteristics of Economic Variables and Indices https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/51
The SOS-NN-LSTM hybrid model emerges as a transformative solution to the perpetual challenge of accurate cost estimation in the construction industry. By integrating Neural Networks (NN) and Long Short-Term Memory networks (LSTM), optimized through the Symbiotic Organism Search (SOS) algorithm, the model distinguishes itself with remarkable performance metrics. Achieving an R-squared value of 0.9631 and a minimal Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.023, SOS-NN-LSTM showcases its efficacy in handling project physical, financial, and time-dependent economic variables. The model's superiority is further emphasized by a minimal Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.0168 and a notable Relative Improvement (RI) value of 0.96018. Importantly, the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) experiences a significant decrease from 20% to 10%, highlighting the model's enhanced precision in cost estimation. SOS-NN-LSTM not only outperforms other AI models but also demonstrates its adaptability to dynamic economic conditions, effectively addressing the volatility of economic variables in construction projects. These exceptional results position SOS-NN-LSTM as a pioneering advancement in cost estimation methodologies for the construction industry. The model's nuanced handling of complex datasets and its ability to provide accurate projections underscore its potential to revolutionize project budgeting, mitigate risks, and contribute to the overall success and financial viability of construction projects. The integration of deep learning with SOS optimization represents a paradigm shift, offering a reliable and effective tool for project stakeholders in navigating the intricacies of construction cost estimation.
Frederik Elly Gosal, Sudarno P Tampubolon Copyright (c) 2023 MIJR: Multidisciplinary International Journal of Research https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/51 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0700 The Impact of Distance and Angle of Installation of Impermeable Groins on the Percentage of Riverbank Erosion in a 45°, 90°, and 135° River Bend https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/52
The phenomenon of flow at river bends has a close relationship with changes in river morphology. These changes affect the occurrence of scouring cliffs at river bends. Various efforts have been made to minimize the occurrence of scouring, one of which is the installation of cribs. Krib is a building on a river that has the function of protecting the river bend wall through a speed and direction control mechanism. This research aims to (1) examine how the effect of impermeable crib installation on the percentage of scour and (2) analyze the effect of variations in the angle and distance of impermeable crib installation on reducing scour that occurs in river bends. The study was conducted by testing experimental models in the laboratory based on the open channel flow model with variations in the installation angles of 45°, 90°, and 135° and variations in the distance between the cribs of 5 cm, 10 cm, and 15 cm. From the results of the study, the percentage of scour without krib was 56%. At a distance between the ribs of 5 cm, the percentage of scour at an angle variation of 45°, 90°, and 135° respectively was 21%; 13%; and 5%. At a distance between ribs of 10 cm, the percentage of scour at angle variations of 45°, 90°, and 135° respectively is 33%; 28%; and 17%. Then at the distance between the ribs of 15 cm, the percentage of scour at an angle variation of 45°, 90°, and 135° respectively was 38%; 30%; and 21%. So that it is obtained that the minimum percentage of scour is obtained at the installation angle of 135° and the distance between the cribs is 5 cm while the maximum percentage is obtained at the installation angle of 45° and the distance between the cribs is 15 cm. So, it can be concluded that the angle of the crib installation is inversely proportional to the percentage of scour while the distance between the cribs is directly proportional to the percentage of scour.

Keywords—River Bend, Impermeable Krib, Scouring
Setyadi Copyright (c) 2024 MIJR: Multidisciplinary International Journal of Research https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/52 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Effectiveness of Online Chemistry Learning Judging from Student Perceptions https://publishing.impola.co.id/index.php/MIJR/article/view/56
This research aimed to clarify student perceptions of the effectiveness of online chemistry classes during the coronavirus pandemic.
